Our History
The organization, was founded with a clear mission to uplift and represent the Albanian American community in New York. Since its inception, it has played a pivotal role in organizing a wide range of significant cultural events, fostering a deeper connection to Albanian heritage while promoting cultural exchange and understanding within the broader American society.
With a commitment to supporting the growth and visibility of the Albanian American community, the organization has worked tirelessly to advocate for its members’ interests, preserving and celebrating Albanian traditions, language, and values. These efforts have included hosting educational programs, cultural exhibitions, and community-building initiatives that encourage the active participation of both younger and older generations.
On February 28, 2019, the organization achieved a milestone by securing its non-profit 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status, further empowering its ability to expand its outreach and deepen its impact. This status has allowed the organization to grow its resources, establish more community programs, and continue promoting Albanian culture and supporting the needs of the community.
